| - | | 2009 April: Donation of Professorship for Biomedical Engineering at the Hochschule in Offenburg, Germany, through Peter Osypka Foundation. In addition to offering this professorship position the grant allows the Hochschule to start a new department for Biomedical Engineering at Offenburg. |
| - | | 2009 April: In recognition of his life time achievements as well as the building of a new biomedical department and the professorship grant, Dr. Peter Osypka becomes honorary senator of the Hochschule Offenburg. He will also be participating in the teaching curriculum for biomedical engineering starting in the second half of 2009. See PDF article below. |
| - | | 2009 May: Charitable Mission to Addis Abeba, Ethiopia, with Dr. Harringer and Dr. Kifle Tondo, together with 30 staff members from the cardiac surgery and intensive care team of the Braunschweig Clinic, who volunteered to operate children and young adults with life-threatening heart valve diseases. External pacemakers and pacing wires donated in the amount of ~10,000€. |
